The Romeo & Juliet Session Online:

Keeping up with the Capulets

Over the past year, Cyclone has had to adapt its approach to meet the needs of teachers at these difficult times and to provide students as always with insightful and exciting Shakespeare offerings. This saw us adapting our Romeo & Juliet Session to an online format. Learning from this experience and we are proud to announce that this year we have produced a new and much-improved show: The Romeo & Juliet Session Online: Keeping up with the Capulets.

The show is an entertaining and informative modern take on the tale of the lovers from fair Verona. Juan Adonis of ‘Love news’ follows the adventures of the star crossed lovers as they rebel against the age-old feud and strict parents so they can be together. In tandem with key scenes, Director Peadar Donohoe and Actor Marcus Bale discuss the major themes of the play to aid students in their studies.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Romeo & Juliet Session Online: Keeping up with the Capulets comprises three webinars. Together with access to the three sessions, teachers will receive a thorough Resource Handout to use with their students. This will review major points presented on all the Webinars and provide supplementary exercises that teachers can use with their students if they wish.

HOW CAN THIS SHOW BE EXPERIENCED?

The Romeo & Juliet Session Online: Keeping up with the Capulets can be experienced via a secure page on our Website. This Session can be accessed at any time you need at your own convenience.

All recorded performances will be uploaded to a private page on our Website. Teachers will be sent a link and a password to access the recorded performance of their choice.
