WHAT’S THE ROMEO & JULIET SESSION ONLINE?
Cyclone is evolving to meet your needs during these difficult times so that students are well-prepared for their end of year exams. With the Covid19 restrictions Cyclone has adapted Romeo and Juliet to be performed online and interactive. As usual you can expect excellent performances, discussions of major themes and audience participation along with exam question reviews, instant polls and outstanding performances of Romeo and Juliet by two young professional actors of secondary school age. Thus making the Romeo and Juliet Session Online more relatable to your students than ever!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Romeo & Juliet Session Online comprises three 35-40 minute webinars presented over 3 weeks. Together with access to the three sessions, teachers will receive four Resource Handouts to use with their students. These will review major points presented on all the Webinars (plus a final handout after the last one) and provide supplementary exercises that teachers can use with their students if they wish. Handouts will also include an Audience Interaction Sheet that will be instrumental for participants in the recorded interactive format (See below).
HOW CAN THIS SHOW BE EXPERIENCED?
The Romeo & Juliet Session Online can be experienced in two formats: Recorded Interactive or Recorded Non-Interactive.
HOW WILL THE ROMEO & JULIET SESSION Online Recorded Interactive WORK?
Soon after you book tickets you will receive detailed Resource Handouts which review major points covered on the webinars along with supplementary exercises that you can use with students. Handouts will also include an Audience Interaction Sheet (for those of you choosing the Recorded with student Interaction version of our sessions we will need you to complete these Audience Interaction Sheets and send them back to us within a deadline so the students responses can be included in the webinars when these are recorded).
HOW WILL THE ROMEO & JULIET SESSION Online Recorded Non-Interactive WORK?
Due to scheduling difficulties (or the inability to work the interactive elements due to lockdown or another reason) you may prefer the Recorded without student interaction version. If that is the case, simply book tickets to watch a recorded performance of the session at any time you need at your own convenience. You don’t need to do anything else!
Recording Access Details
All recorded performances will be uploaded to Vimeo (a high security video uploading platform). All groups experiencing the Session in a recorded format will be sent a link and a password to access the recorded performance of their choice. Please note that passwords are valid for one week (Monday to Friday). If for whatever reason you need access to any of the Webinars later again in the year, please let us know and we will accommodate you
Recommended Setup for the Session
The recommended set up for The Romeo & Juliet Session Online is that of a classroom or hall with a computer and projector so that the whole student group can experience the webinar together. If this is not possible, students will be able to participate from home.
