Who are we and What we do:

  • We are Ireland’s leading Shakespeare Theatre-in-Education Company

  • We bring Shakespeare to life and make him relatable to tens of thousands of young people each year

  • We improve young people’s chances of success in Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate English exams

  • We help building Ireland's next generation of theatregoers

Cyclone Rep is Ireland’s leading producer of Shakespeare’s plays. Our mission is to stage theatrical interpretations of Shakespeare's classics that are engaging, relatable and stimulate critical reflection.

A key interpretive method is to present Shakespeare's plays in a modern context with topical themes such as the scourge of racism in Othello: The Colour of Skin or environmental catastrophe in King Lear: Nature Amok.
